I originally was introduced to mortgage lending in 1982 as a loan officer for Trustcorp Mortgage; eventually working myself to the level of Vice President in charge of Retail Lending. Over my 29 year career I’ve had the pleasure of working for some of the most respected names in the mortgage industry.  I stay current with mortgage trends by my participation in both local and state mortgage bankers associations, most recently serving as Board Member and President of the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association. Currently, I serve on the board for the Mishawaka Kiwanis Club as well as serving on committees for the Elkhart County Board of Realtors and Greater South Bend Mishawaka Association of Realtors.  Because of the tremendous support received from local Real Estate agents and my referral partners, I was honored with the prestigious Trustcorp Mortgage Company Presidents award as well as their Retail Production Employee of the Year award and in 1992 was honored as the Affiliate of the Year for the Elkhart County Board of Realtors.
My extensive background in real estate lending enables me to offer my customers a wealth of experience and knowledge in the home financing process.  I am dedicated to giving my customers the best home-buying experience possible and strive to exceed their expectations.  Although I’m well rounded in all facets of the mortgage industry, I specialize in first-time home buyer loans and enjoy helping people realize the American dream of homeownership. 
After spending the last couple of years working for large national lenders, I made the decision that I wanted to align myself with a local lender who shared my values and philosophy on offering great customer service, excellent rates and a wide range of mortgage products.  Ruoff Home Mortgage was a perfect fit.
I’ve been married over 24 years to my wife Sue, who works in Reference Services for the Mishawaka Penn Harris Public Library and together we have two wonderful daughters; Jenny, who is a senior at Bethel College, and Amy, a freshman at Purdue University.  When I’m not working or spending time with my family, more than likely you’ll find me wading around one of our local streams or rivers enjoying my passion for Fly Fishing.
