Greetings and a huge THANK YOU for landing on my page. My name is Ellen Vance and I have been helping people purchase and refinance homes since 2012. Currently my title is Senior Loan Officer at Ruoff Mortgage where I have a team of people working with me to ensure our borrowers have the best possible experience when navigating the mortgage world.
My entrance into this business was somewhat unplanned, but it quickly became a calling I wholeheartedly embraced, and in my 11 years as a mortgage loan officer, I've cultivated a straightforward, honest, and empathetic approach to my work. I have dedicated myself to assisting clients in navigating the complexities of mortgages, ensuring they find the best solutions tailored to their unique needs. I make it my priority to be direct and honest with my clients, ensuring they fully understand every aspect of their mortgage journey. This transparency not only builds trust but also empowers my clients to make well-informed decisions about their financial future. My commitment to that approach goes beyond the professional realm; these values reflect my personal belief in the importance of integrity and empathy in all interactions. I approach each person’s situation with genuine compassion, recognizing that behind every mortgage application is a unique story and a dream to call a house a home. My goal is to walk alongside my borrowers every step of the way, providing a seamless mortgage process as well as creating lasting relationships with each and every one.
When I am not helping my borrowers with their mortgage needs, I am busy with my 3 sons. My oldest son serves proudly in the United States Marine Corps, and is stationed in Iwakuni, Japan. My middle son is a senior in high school, plays on the basketball team and is busy filling out college applications. My youngest son is in 1st grade, loves dinosaurs and is fairly certain he will grow up to be a Paleontologist – he is probably right! If there is free time after that, you will find me with a good book, podcast, or crocheting something beautiful!

What made my experience excellent was Ellen Vance. She is just so wonderful. This was my 1st experience buying a home. Ellen was very knowledgeable, she responded to any question or concerns I had very quickly. She was there for me no matter the time or day. U could just feel how genuine she was and that she really did care. I was very blessed to have her as my loan officer. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better than Ellen. As first time buyers we didn’t really know what the process of buying a home looked like. Ellen and Megan were quick to reply to any questions we had and made us feel very comfortable through a process that can be overwhelming. Even after closing Ellen told us to text her if we have any questions and run into any issues. She also gave us a cute little plant at closing congratulating us on putting our roots down. We were really lucky to have gone through Ruoff. I intentionally picked a female realtor and loan officer because I was wary of whomever was helping me not behind honest with me. However, with Ellen and my realtor I constantly felt like I had people in my corner not only working with, but fighting for me and what was best for me.

Ellen was very polite and friendly. She answered any questions I had very fast. This was my first time getting a loan and didn’t really know what I was doing, but Ellen was exceptionally patient and helpful. All in all She made my experience a 10/10. Would highly recommend.

Ellen was amazing through this whole process! I don’t know what my Fiancé and I would have done without her! We were first time home buyers, and she made sure to lay everything out in a way that we could understand. She helped get all of our ducks in a row to make sure we did everything we needed to do on time. She still stays in contact with us when needed, so glad that Ellen is our loan officer!
