I am a senior loan officer and the VP, Branch Manager for the South Bend branch of Ruoff Mortgage. I have been in the financial services industry for 17 years, and in mortgages specifically, for the last 12.
When I am not assisting my clients, I coach my 4 kids’ soccer teams, dabble in woodworking, play racquetball, soccer and ping-pong, and attempt to achieve the perfect blueberry pancake.
As a mortgage lender, being part of such an important milestone in my clients’ lives is perhaps the most fulfilling part of my career – it is a responsibility I enjoy and take very seriously. Michael was great to work with! We appreciated his timeliness, prompt texting, clear explanations, and seamless coordination with Loan Butler. This may be a small thing, but if Loan Butler's software is owned by Ruoff (proprietary), it would be great if the title included the name Ruoff somewhere. It was occasionally hard to remember the name of the application to be able to log in if we were at our desktop computers instead of using our mobile phones. Also, we encountered a slightly uncomfortable situation where we didn't realize our co-signers didn't have good credit. Is there a way in future where people can find that information out and then politely have a way to need to find different co-signers? We realize that's a delicate balance in trying to cross the finish line towards closing on a home, but we could have qualified for a better interest rate if we knew how to navigate that with the other parties. Otherwise, we had a wonderful experience and would recommend Michael to anyone looking for a home loan!

Michael Grove from Rouff was outstanding from start to finish. He was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was done right. He communicated clearly throughout the process, arrived on time, and took the time to answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed. What impressed me most was his attention to detail and commitment to customer service.
