As for me personally, I am a fine artist, and I’ve shown in galleries all across the country. I am also family focused – my son is an artillery specialist in the army, my husband is a project manager for a restoration company, and I have lots of happy critters that rely on me – from dogs and cats to chickens! Fun fact: I have done stand-up comedy and still do, given the time and opportunity. I’m also an amateur body builder!
Giving back to the community is important to me. I am service-oriented. As a domestic violence survivor, I am involved with Middle Way House, a domestic abuse treatment center, and My Sisters Closet, a nonprofit organization that provides services to help vulnerable women living in poverty and at-risk circumstances find economic success and self-sufficiency.
What I have learned along the way in life is priceless. I’m uniquely qualified to find solutions and to help others get to where they want to be. And that’s only because so many people helped me along the way. I truly believe the only way I can help myself or my family, is to focus on helping others.
