After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Financial Planning and Counselling in 1992, I embarked on my career in the mortgage industry. As a mortgage professional my passion is to help people realize their dream of homeownership and to see them create a home for their family while building financial wealth.
Joining Ruoff Mortgage in 2012 has been one of the best decisions during my mortgage career. Ruoff Mortgage is an Indiana-based, family-owned company. Whether my clients are first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers, empty nesters or they are looking to refinance their existing home, I help my clients find the best loan programs that fit their short-term and long-term goals. Educating clients about the home buying process and responsibly managing their credit is my approach. I review my client's credit and show them how to properly manage their debt which directly affects their credit score and interest rate.
Since 1999 I have managed teams of loan officers, processors, closers, and loan production members. I am there to guide my team toward achieving their goals, individually and collectively. Every client has a unique situation and I am always available to help the team strategize to determine the best approach for our clients. My team has commented about my abilities to multi-task, prioritize, stay cool under pressure and remain patient with both clients and my team during the mortgage process.
My husband, Steve, and I reside in the Indianapolis area with our three children, Ashlynn, Luke, and Kane. Bruno, our playful silver lab, joined our family in 2019. In my free time, I enjoy attending my children's extra circular activities, participating in 5K runs, watching Purdue Football and Basketball, and spending time with family and friends. In 2021, I began volunteering at Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding where I can combine my love for horses and helping people.

I cannot say enough good things about Amy. I was connected to Amy through my realtor in February, I did not purchase a home until July 23rd. For four months, Amy was responsive, attenitive, patient, kind and understanding. I went through 3 realtors, paying down debt and shopping above my budget. Through it all Amy was always gracious with her feedback and swift to respond to my never ending questions. I have a lot going on in my work-life balance so I was often too busy to really read things through all the time like I should have. There were times when she would have to send information and explain something to me via text, email and over the phone and she never showed any sign of beeing irritated, annoyed or inpatient. Even at my closing I was still asking her questions and she continued to be a beacon of knowledge. I appreciate Amy more than I can say. In reality my debt was never a priority for me and with her gentle push I was able to get rid of some debt that I had been putting off for years in just a few months. As a POC I have heard many of my peers have poor experiences with their loan officer. With Amy I was me, nothing else impacted her work with me. Amy was beyond Excellent, she set the tone and standard for me on what to expect from a loan officer. If I ever find myself in the position to buy another home, she will be my first and only call. At 62 years of age I never thought I would be going down the road of buying a new home. To be completely honest the thought terrified me. Working with Amy was absolutely amazing.
