With more than 20 years of mortgage industry experience, Jan Edwards is a trusted mortgage Loan Officer with Ruoff Mortgage in South Bend, serving clients throughout Indiana and Michigan. Her career began behind the scenes in roles such as loan processing, funding, and servicing, giving her a deep understanding of the entire lending process and allowing her to guide clients confidently from application to closing.
Jan works with a wide range of clients—from first-time homebuyers and veterans to homeowners refinancing or downsizing—and takes time to understand each client’s financial goals so she can help them make informed decisions about homeownership. Her commitment to outstanding service earned her the 2025 Ruoff Experience Award for exceptional customer satisfaction.
Active in the local real estate community, Jan is involved with South Bend Area REALTORS®, Women's Council of Realtors, and serves on the Executive Board of the Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County. She also volunteers with the Food Bank of Northern Indiana. A longtime resident of the Michiana area, Jan is also a proud single mom to her daughter, Molly, and enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.

Jan was always checking in and made me comfortable enough to ask questions when I was confused. During closing she made sure to interrupt and explain things further if she felt it was necessary.
